About Celia Jennings

Celia Jennings has been a dealer in Kent since 1970, specializing in early European woodcarving, medieval floor tiles and delftware. A typical stock includes religious and secular panels and corbels, bench ends, pew finials, Gothic tracery, roof bosses, figures of the saints and the less saintly, both polychrome and unpainted, angels, cherubs, putti, caryatids, and beasts from the real and mythical animal kingdoms. Medieval English and French lead-glazed tiles feature, as well as tin-glazed earthenware pots, jugs, bowls and plates.
Most of the reference books on sale have been out of print for years, some are brand new; all are intended to increase the knowledge and enjoyment of collectors and dealers alike.
About Richard Wiseman

Richard Wiseman has been a collector of medieval stone carvings for many years and a dealer through this website since 2000. A catalogue of forty items from his collection is available for purchase. These carvings mainly represent secular imagery from the Middle Ages: grotesques, gargoyles, the Green Man and beasts are areas of particular focus. In such carvings the arcane nature of the symbolism is as important as the quality of the execution. Religious subjects and architectural elements are also of great interest.
